Iced Cacao with Tangerine & Lavender

Love chocolate? Love citrus? This Iced Lavender Tangerine Cacao elixir blends both in one beautifully refreshing, full ceremonial dose. Perfect for solo sipping or sharing in your next warm-weather ceremony.

What makes this recipe special is its contrast: the rich depth of Keith’s Cacao meets the bright, juicy lift of tangerine—with a gentle floral note of lavender to tie it all together. It’s a sensory celebration: bold, balanced, and deeply satisfying.

Lavender, long beloved in aromatherapy, is known to calm the nervous system, ease anxiety, and uplift the mood. And it adds a fresh, subtle elegance to both your elixir and your space.

You can use any citrus you have on hand—each one brings its own nourishing qualities, including antioxidants, fiber, and a vibrant boost of vitamin C. We love tangerine for its sweetness, complexity, and that clean finish that doesn’t linger too long.

Since the recipe uses just half a tangerine, you can save the other half to enjoy as part of your post-ceremony nourishment. Its vibrant color makes this drink feel like a celebration from the very first glance.

This is more than a drink—it’s a full sensory experience. The color, the scent, the flavor… they all invite you into a state of presence, pleasure, and uplift.

Sip slowly. Let the citrus awaken your senses, the lavender soothe your spirit, and the Cacao work its quiet magic.

Instructions

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ oz Keith's Cacao
  • 12 oz Almond milk
  • 1 Tangerine
  • ¼ tsp Fresh lavender
  • Stevia - to taste
  • 1 cup Ice

Instructions

  1. To begin, chop your Ceremonial Cacao and set aside.
  2. Using a potato peeler, carefully remove a curl from the tangerine peel, avoiding the white "pith" or bitter rind. Set aside.
  3. Cut your tangerine in half, and set aside.
  4. In a saucepan over low heat, add almond milk, lavender, stevia, and orange peel. Next, squeeze in half the tangerine.
  5. Allow your liquid mix to simmer gently. Ideally, it will be warm but not hot.
  6. If using a BLENDER, add the chopped cacao to a blender, pour over the liquid and blend until smooth and creamy.
  7. Alternatively, add the chopped cacao to the saucepan with the rest of the ingredients and use a WHISK to mix until fully dissolved.
  8. Next, pour your blended elixir over a glassful of ice. You may garnish your drink with a sprig of lavender or rim the edge with the remaining tangerine.
  9. Enjoy!
